Rowan into the Otherworld

The date is ever approaching. The plan is to separate Rowan and Cullen by forcing the veil to the Otherworld open on Imbolc. That's Feb. 1st.

I don't like this plan.

I don't like this plan for several reasons. First, it's really dangerous. I mean, supposedly Fiana was able to come back because of her powers, but Cullen is just a kid! How is he supposed to come back from the land of the dead without being harmed?

Moody seems to think between he and Rowan, it can be done safely. But I still don't like it.

Secondly, I know it's stupid, but I don't want to let Rowan go! I mean... of course there's no chance for. I'm just being stupid and selfish. Moody's right. This can't be fun for either Cullen or Rowan, having to share a body. Cullen won't talk about it. He's ever more despondent lately. I think it's taking a toll on him.

Well... I guess we'll see what happens on the first.

A Different Life

We have a new President. I couldn't celebrate this victory because my life has recently taken a very strange turn. This is the first time I've written in weeks because I've been recovering from the shock of it all.

School's out for the Thanksgiving Holidays, so I have a little time to reflect on the strange events.

Actually, I can't even bring myself to write about it. Writing about it would make it all too real. Because it can't be real. I mean, fairy tales aren't reality. Ancient wizards don't just pop out of wands and save your life from a bloodsucking vampire.

Ironic with the Twilight movie just coming out... that vampires are real!

Okay- enough for today. I'm just not ready to talk about this yet.

Halloween Fun

Tomorrow is Halloween and "my little knight's" birthday. I got him a new book of "The Hobbit." He's a sweet kid with a rough home life, and everyone should get at least one present for their birthday.

For me I'm not doing much for Halloween. Perhaps I'll put on a witch's hat, give out candy to the kids, and treat myself to a Pumpkin Pie martini.

30 Days of Night & Elizabeth

I saw both 30 Days of Night & Elizabeth: The Golden Age yesterday. I don't get to the movies as much as I'd like, so I've given in to watching mostly at home, compliments of NetFlix.

Elizabeth was incredible. I hope Blanchett gets another Oscar for that performance... right along with (be still my heart) Clive Owen.

She is so gorgeous and a perfect Elizabeth I.

On the other hand... 30 Days of Night was mediocre. I love vampires, but this film was just okay. Most of it was pretty good. They weren't the sexy, seductive vampires -- more like ruthless animals. That was all good, but they slaughtered the entire town of hundreds in a matter of hours... yet 6 people survived the next 30 days?! And the ending was really lame. The main character sacrificing himself 45 or so minutes before the first sunrise in a month (the sunrise that would kill them all) and making himself a vampire, only to burn in the arms of his soon-to-be-ex-wife at that very sunrise. Stupid.

Homecoming

I had to chaperone the dance last night, and I couldn't believe how young some of the kids were! My mother wouldn't let me out on a date until I was 16! There were 12 yr old girls there with older boys. I guess it's a different world and it's passing me by.

30 Days of Night

I'm got "30 Days of Night" from NetFlix today. Looks great! I'm sure it's no Dracula, but it's still a vampire movie. I hope to watch it this weekend. It looks pretty scary. I hope so, it's been a good while since a movies given me a good scare. I think The Ring was the last one. I couldn't sleep normally for a week after that one! It put me off horror for a few years.
